Moving Heavy Objects With Ease

There are many industries that completely rely on the services that an electric chain hoist provides. There are so many situations in manufacturing, shipping, and construction where extremely heavy materials need to be moved. Even if an object only needs to be moved a short distance, having an electric hoist to help out saves hours of backbreaking labor. What used to take half a dozen men now can be accomplished with only one or two with the help of a hoist.

Hoists are designed and built with hard work in mind. The developers spend a very long time testing each design before it is released to the public. However, even though so many different quality tested versions exist, you will still need to choose your next hoist carefully.

There are many good manual hoists available that take a little more effort and elbow grease to use, but they are still perfectly functional. The cream of the crop is the electric chain hoist. These are operated with only the push of a button. Many of these hoists can be integrated on a trolley system so that you can move objects around your production floor easily and without transferring the load. Using electric hoists can save valuable time and production costs. If you have any questions about what kind of hoist you should use in your industry, call the manufacturers or the retailers. They can answer your questions and you can buy the hoist that you need.

Maintaining girder trolleys is must for safety

The safe use of traveling girder trolleys depends heavily on the manner in, which they are being maintained.  The well maintained girder trolleys operate quickly and are safer. On the other hand, there is no guarantee of safety in case the trolleys are not inspected and maintained at regular intervals of time.

Maintenance of the girder trolley can be combined with that of the block; however, one should make sure that the trolley is kept clean and the moving parts are lubricated regularly. The contact surface of track and running surface of wheels should be kept free of any contamination including lubricants.

Regularly inspection of the trolley is very much recommended as it will give you an idea when and where the repairs are required.  In case there is any defect in the trolley, it should be taken off the service and send for repairs to a competent person.

By regularly inspecting the girder trolley, you can reduce the overall wear and tear and make sure that it remains in service for a longer period of time.

Furthermore, the accessories attached to the girder trolleys should also be inspected at regular intervals and when the trolley is not in use, these accessories should be removed and kept at a clean and dry place.
